Please bring water, a crate for your dog and an ample supply of your dog's favorite training treats, (soft food or cheese cut into very small pieces) -- and/or a favorite small, non-squeaky toy that may also be used for motivation.  You may want to bring a folding chair for yourself.  For the Introduction to Agility class, you will also need a clicker, which can be purchased at the first class or your local pet store. Please do not bring your dog to class if it is lame or sore.  Although dogs with chronic problems, such as hip dysplasia, arthritis or simply just getting older can do agility, use your best judgment as to how much you ask them to do.  Please do not bring a dog to class that is sick in any way (coughing, diarrhea, etc.).  Doing so can compromise the health of the other dogs in class.  Kennel cough is extremely contagious and can knock dogs out of commission for up to 3 weeks.  It is each handler's responsibility to maintain control of their dog.  Dogs must be kept in a crate or on lead until it is their turn to work.  Dog aggression, whether aimed at people or other dogs, will be treated on an individual basis.  Outlaw Agility and its instructors reserve the right to make final judgment in such cases.  We ask that you do not start puppies until they have reached 6 months of age. Class Fees Our six week class session is $110.  Pre- registration is required as class size will be limited.  Please fill out the Agility Registration Form and Liability Release and mail to Outlaw Agility, 651 Fox Farm Road, Asbury, NJ 08802.  There will be no make-ups or carry-overs for missed agility class unless a class is postponed by the instructor.   Introduction to Agility/Clicker Training Day: Thursday Time: 6:45pm Location: Hope Lock Kennel, Easton, PA This class introduces you and your dog to the fundamentals of clicker training, a highly successful method of teaching animals originally developed when teaching whales at Sea World. It speeds the learning process and conveys precise behaviors. You will learn foundation skills and basic handling maneuvers and your dog will be introduced to agility obstacles. Because there will be some off lead work, your dog must be controllable around other dogs and people. We encourage our students to take obedience classes prior to learning agility as obedience training enhances your dog's opportunities for success in agility. This class is run outdoors on grass from April through October.
