Cheryl Weeks has been training agility since
1999 in AKC, NADAC and ASCA. She has
trained 4 agility dogs and with limited
competition her Australian Shepherd, Wills,
(see pictures left and below) attained his AKC
Masters Agility Excellent and Masters Agility
Excellent Jumpers titles as well as multiple
titles in ASCA and NADAC venues. Wills won
every class he entered at the 2007 ASCA
National Agility Trial, at the age of 11. Wills
(Weeks' Billy The Kid) is the inspiration for
Outlaw Agility, his likeness incorporated into
its logo.
Cheryl has trained with some of the top agility trainers/competitors in the U.S.,
including Elicia Calhoun, Ali Roukas-Canova, Paulena Rene Hope, Rosie
Sutherland and Sue Tovino. Cheryl understands that not all people are motivated
to compete, thus her Introduction to Agility class is directed at introducing people
and their dogs to the fun and team building that agility fosters. She utilizes clicker
training and positive motivation techniques using food and toys as rewards. After
the completion of Introduction to Agility, teams progress to more structured
Beginner Agility classes with Jean Crouthamel.
